Introduction
A legal translation, written or oral, that meets the most stringent requirements? The SIGV Court Interpreters and Legal Translators are the only interpreters and translators in the Netherlands specially trained for this work. Not only have they received training in 'their' language, but they have also successfully completed the courses organised by the Stichting Instituut van Gerechtstolken en Vertalers (SIGV www.sigv.nl). The Ministry of Justice has approved these courses.
The object of the Association of SIGV Court Interpreters and Legal Translators is to further the interests of its members. The greatest possible attention is paid to promote the services of the members. By taking part in various consultative bodies the Association tries to make an impact on developments that are important for court interpreters and legal translators.
